> Research Highlights:

My Research interests include molecular recognition, in particular, the process by which
proteins bind small molecule ligands and drugs; structure of large, macromolecular assemblies,
including development of novel methods for the analyses of these structures; and development
of high-throughput methods for molecular biology and biochemistry. Recently we have developed
a novel statistical measure of the diversity of combinatorial libraries and used it to estimate the
complexity of phage-displayed peptide libraries. We are currently using this statistical approach
to quantitate sequence diversity in multiply-aligned protein sequences.
