Argonne Site Map | Argonne Guest House | Argonne UofC Shuttle | Information Center

The Argonne Information Center offers an excellent introduction to Argonne. Located at the Illinois site's main gate, it is filled with interactive exhibits about Argonne's research programs and history.

Argonne's Illinois site, known as Argonne-East, occupies 1,500 wooded acres about 25 miles southwest of Chicago's Loop. About 3,600 of Argonne's 4,500 employees work here. The site also houses the U.S. Department of Energy's Chicago Operations Office.
