> Research Interests:

Cloning and expression of bacterial and eukaryotic genes using E. coli or yeast as an expression host.  Purification of soluble protein for functional analysis and downstream characterization.  Optimization of vector expression systems to increase yield and solubility of eukaryotic proteins.  Functional assignment and improvement of gene annotation of microbial sensor-type proteins using a Thermal Shift Assay to identify protein stabilization via ligand-binding.
