> Research Interests:
My research includes the production and characterization of heterologous proteins from bacterial and eukaryotic organisms of interest. With the exponential growth of genomes being sequenced, there’s an urgent need to accurately assign function to uncharacterized proteins. The development and application of HTP cloning, expression and enzymatic screening systems will benchmark our ability to understand protein/function relationships from an experimental perspective. This system will impact and improve the accuracy and magnitude of databases and resources that facilitate genome research.
